Sharon Hite

Lay Minister of Liberty Village Campus

Currently I’m taking courses toward becoming a lay minister for South Side Nazarene Church, which my husband, Dave, and I have been attending for over 30 years.   We have 6 children, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

I was raised in a Christian home by Godly parents and I’m so thankful for that heritage.  I wish I could say that I never strayed, but I did.  I wanted to see what it was out there in the world that I was missing.  After I experienced it, it didn’t look quite so inviting and glamorous anymore.

During this time, God was there all the time.  He forgave me and welcomed me back.  Some of the things I experienced while out in the world have left deep scars that will never completely go away until I reach Heaven, but God can use those scars to minister to others who are hurting.

Down through the years, I’ve served the church in several capacities, including childrens’ quizzing,  teaching Sunday School, driving the church van, and working in the nursery.

My ministry at this time is leading a newly planted church.  We had formed a Bible Study group 6 or 7 years ago and had several residents who attended regularly.  These residents always considered this group “their church” so imagine their surprise and elation when we became a church named Liberty Village Showers of Blessings.
